By entering your address into our list and subscribing to our newsletter, you consent to receiving our newsletter and agree to the relevant processes. We send our newsletters, e-mails and other electronic messages with advertising content only with the recipient’s consent or where permitted by law.. The consent only applies to the contents described in the declaration of consent. In addition, we will send you information about our products and services, as well as about our company.
Double opt-in and record-keeping
For your added security, subscriptions to our newsletter use a double opt-in process. After you’ve subscribed, we will send you an e-mail asking you to confirm your conscription. This is to prevent others from making subscriptions to your e-mail address. We keep records of your log-ins to our site in order to document our compliance with legal requirements. In addition to the data transferred by you, we also record (at our and our service provider’s facilities) the date and time of your registration and confirmation, as well as the IP address.
For your newsletter subscription, we first need your e-mail address. Giving us your name helps us to address you personally in the newsletter.
Sending the newsletter and the success measurements performed by us or our service provider are both done with your consent (GDPR Art. 6(1) lit. a, in conjunction with Art. 7). Our recording your registration is based on our legitimate interest (GDPR Art. 6(1) lit. f). Our legitimate interests are in being able to document our compliance with laws and regulations, as well as in having a newsletter system that fulfills the wishes and requirements of our customers and supports our business goals.
You may withdraw your consent at any time with immediate effect for the future. Doing so will cancel your newsletter subscription. Every issue of the newsletter contains a link for that purpose. In case of a withdrawal of consent, we will continue storing your e-mail address for two years in order to meet our interests (documentation of prior consent), but otherwise restrict its processing.
Our use of the mailing service provider is based on our legitimate interest as per GDPR Art 6(1) lit. f, as well as a data processing contract as per the first sentence of GDPR Art. 28(3).
The mailing service provider may use the recipients’ data in a pseudonymized form, e.g. without reference to a user, for the optimization or improvement of their services, e.g. the technical optimization of the mailing or the presentation of the newsletters, or for statistical purposes. The mailing service provider will not disclose the data of our newsletter subscribers to third parties or use such data for its own mailings.
Use and disclosure of personal data and purpose limitation
Hochland Natec GmbH will only use and share the personal information you collect if you give it to us solely for the purpose for which you shared it. Reasons for the processing are for example:
Responding to consumer inquiries: Your personal information will be used to respond to your requests. These data are stored with your consent (Article 6 Paragraph 1 lit. a GDPR/General Data Protection Regulation) in order to evaluate and improve our products and to provide you with the best possible service. Optionally, in addition to answering the request, there are statutory retention periods for your contact information, e.g. if you receive a shipment from us.
You have the right to revoke your data protection consent declaration at any time. The revocation of consent does not affect the legality of the processing carried out on the basis of the consent until the revocation.
Job applications: Your personal data will be used to process your application through the relevant bodies in the Hochland Group (Article 26 Para. 1 BDSG/German Federal Data Protection Law-new). Provided you agree to a forwarding (for example, to consider your application also in other Hochland companies), a transmission takes place. Your data will be stored for a period of 6 months after filling the respective vacancy and then deleted, unless you expressly consent to re-use.
Use of the services of third parties: If we use the services of third parties to provide the services for you, this is done exclusively after checking these service providers and signing the corresponding processing agreements. The third parties are thus committed to the privacy principles. This concerns the following categories of recipients: group companies of the Hochland Group, external IT service providers (website management) and marketing agencies (lottery management).
The collection or transfer of personal data to state institutions and authorities is only possible within the framework of mandatory national legislation. Our employees, agencies and dealers are required to observe secrecy and to comply with our code of conduct.
Right to information, rectification and cancellation
At any time you have the right to free information about your stored personal data, their origin and recipients and the purpose of the processing. If, despite our efforts to ensure data correctness and up-to-dateness, incorrect information is stored, we will at your request correct it, restrict it in processing or delete it, if there are no legal requirements to the contrary. Please direct your request in this regard to our data protection officer.
Hochland Natec GmbH uses technical and organizational security measures to protect your data from accidental or intentional manipulation, loss, destruction, disclosure, alteration or access by unauthorized persons. Our security measures are continuously improved in line with technological developments.
In the event that an unauthorized person has proven or suspected access to your personal information and notification is required by applicable law, Hochland Natec GmbH will notify you.
